Studying the specifics of managing an innovative enterprise: examples of successful development of innovative industrial
enterprises in Russia and abroad

Background. The policy of the President of Russia on the digital transformation of the economy in the 21st century will accelerate the innovation process in the modernization of production, the introduction of new methods of enterprise management, the growth of efficiency and competitiveness, the development of completely new products and services. Meanwhile, the main obstacle to recognizing the leadership position of Russian industrial companies in the innovation market is the lack of the necessary competencies and qualifications for the effective management of innovative enterprises at the highest level of the enterprise management, the availability of skills and skills of ordinary specialists, a high degree of uncertainty and risk in the implementation of innovations. The purpose of the study is to analyze the specifics of the management of an innovative enterprise, key factors of the corporate success of an innovative enterprise, study the ratings of innovative-active business representatives of various sectors of Russia and abroad, and draw conclusions and recommendations on the selected research topic.
Materials and methods. The goal of the study was achieved by assessing actual examples of management of modern industrial enterprises of the Russian Federation and foreign countries, identifying factors influencing the success of the organizational culture and management of the innovative business and key factors of the corporate success of the innovative enterprise, and offering recommendations for building an effective management system of the innovative enterprise.
Results. The study discusses examples of innovative activity of enterprises of the Penza region, in general in Russia and foreign countries, the content of factors influencing the success of organizational culture and the management of innovative business, offers recommendations for building an effective management system for an innovative enterprise, notes the specificity of managing an innovative industrial enterprise.
Conclusions. The study will serve as a starting point for the development of a methodology for managing modern innovative industrial enterprises taking into account all specifics.
